September 15th is international DOT DAY!

We are gearing up for "Dot Day"! Local author Peter Reynolds inspired us to "make a mark, and see where it takes you." We made some interesting connections with the book and Wassily Kandinsky's painting, Squares and Concentric Circles. Younger grades experimented with color with their dots. Third grade used primary colors to paint their "dots", and 4th and 5th graders used warm and cool colors. We love the message of this book!

An Exciting Start

I am so happy to be teaching at the Tucker School! Although it was sad to leave my wonderful students and friends in Watertown, it is exciting to be working in my home town. This week students explored LINE after discussing Wassily Kandinsky's paintings.
